You might have heard that president-elect Trump’s son and wife, Barron and Melania, are not moving to the White House. Instead, they are staying in the Trump Tower penthouse. Melania explains how important it is that Barron continues attending his Upper West Side private school, according to The Post article.
“Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” said a source close to Trump’s transition team. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.”
It might be reassuring to have such a family oriented First Lady, but it is not a coincidence that “her” decision will put millions of dollars in The Donald’s pocket.
I put her in quotes, cause I’d bet you my left pinky, that this decision, which will cost US (especially New York) tax payers MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars, was not made by our (once upon a time illegal immigrant) First Lady, but rather The Donald.
As a result of “Melania’s” decision, the security around Trump Tower will intensify. The security will involve both Secret Service and the NYPD, an expert familiar with high-level security told The Post.
“That building is going to become the White House of New York,” said Jim Reese, a former Delta Force commander and president of TigerSwan, a global security company based in North Carolina.
Such a set up will be very profitable to Trump.
According to an AOL article:
The Secret service reportedly might take over two floors of Trump Tower for security purposes. That would be $3 million per year, which isn’t much when you consider Trump’s current New York City security detail costs around $1 million per day, according to city officials.
I had a good idea that would easily erase such a blatant conflict of interest.
Shouldn’t the Secret Service rent out a property that doesn’t belong to Trump? Isn’t there a nearby Red Roof Inn that the Secret Service could set up base in?
We would see, if Trump was not profiting by having his family stay in New York, they would be whisked off to DC in a heartbeat.
