Trump supporters are beginning to feel betrayed. Lots of Trump supporters are painfully realizing that Trump doesn’t care about their best interests. I’d love to sell these same people a bridge in China.
Take the Boys and Girls Club in a town in southern Oklahoma, for instance. The director of this facility is trying to figure out how he could keep the doors open if president Trump’s budget goes through and slashes money needed.
All over the country, art programs that rely on the National Endowment for the Arts, like the after school Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, are being threatened. In addition, senior centers that look after our elderly have already lost state funding.
Trump won an astounding 76% of the vote in one town in Oklahoma. However, the residents have begun to question their allegiance as soon as they saw that Trump’s budget did nothing for them, actually it hurt their communities, Washington Post article.
During the campaign, Trump said how busy his first day in office would be. According to our president, that first day he was going to arrest Hillary, get rid of Obamacare, classify China as a currency manipulator, announce plans to withdraw from NAFTA.
Think Progress lists 30 more lies that Donald Trump said he was going to do the first day. None of those bold promises have been fulfilled, even after eighty days.
Kraig Moss is a great example of the betrayal these loyal Trumpkins are feeling now. Last year, he sold the equipment for his construction business and stopped making mortgage payments so he could follow Trump around on the campaign trail.
While he traveled across the country, he played his guitar and sang songs praising his golden idol. He thrived in Trump’s shadow, even gaining international fame as “the voice of unheard America”
Kraig’s 24 year old son died from a heroin overdose. Kraig had good reason to be so devoted to Donald Trump. During one of his campaign stops in Iowa, Trump spoke directly to Kraig about his son’s death.
“In all fairness to your son, it’s a tough thing. Some very, very strong people have not been able to get off (heroin),” Trump called out to Moss in the crowd. “The biggest thing we can do in honor of your son … we have to be able to stop it.”
Kraig doesn’t sing those songs anymore. Trump’s budget aims to slash rehab facilities. Trump aims to remove all of the tools our country needs to fight drug addiction. Ever since Trump revealed his true plans for the country through his budget proposal, Kraig has discovered Trump is only for himself.
“The bill is an absolute betrayal of what Trump represented on the campaign trail,” he said. “I feel betrayed.”
Yes, it is sad for Kraig Moss. But it is also difficult to feel any pity for him. He was duped and as a result, me and you get douched. Hard to feel bad for these sheep.
