Fake news wasn’t much of a story before Trump’s campaign. If I asked you what it was three years ago, you’d probably be at a loss of words. Trump created a lot of things in this country besides hatred and wars and death, fake news is one.
At least once in every Trump speech, he instructs us not to believe those unflattering articles about him. Erroneous news stories is really a goldmine for Trump and the entire republican party. Think about it. When you have bad story after bad story coming out about you and your party, how convenient it is just to label the media as fake.
Erroneous news stories is the reason why Trump is in the White House today. So when he mentions it in his speeches, we can’t disagree with him. Fake news does exist. However, he is the one peddling it.
According to an Oxford Study, erroneous and sensational news stories exist only on right wing sites, and are read only by right wingers. The study says,
On Twitter, a network of Trump supporters consumes the largest volume of junk news, and junk news is the largest proportion of news links they share,” the researchers concluded. On Facebook, the skew was even greater. There, “extreme hard right pages – distinct from Republican pages – share more junk news than all the other audiences put together.” TheGuardian
Still, Trump is crying ‘fake news’, for any story that doesn’t praise him, which is every single article about him. Republican voters also love these erroneous news stories, because it gives them an excuse to ignore damaging Trump articles.
Fake news serves many purposes, but it is all directed to the same audience. For example, during the campaign there was a lot of stories coming out of Russia about Muslims and how they disregarded America. Even our president retweeted this story, which was not true. It was about a Muslim beating up a British boy on crutches. Trump has always been telling us to hate the Muslim. By disseminating this fake news, Trump is just validating his supporter’s hatred. When those mosques get burnt or innocent Muslims are attacked, blame our president.
All of my articles pinpoint republican’s lack of education as the main culprit. As long as republicans keep their sheep from getting an education, they will continue to graze in their meadows. As a result, republicans are slashing education budgets. Just read this article from The Washington Post. It is about how House Republicans wanted to slash Education Department’s budget by $2.4 billion. Think that is a lot? Only a drop in the bucket compared to the $9.2 that Trump wanted.
Keep the republicans stupid. An educated mind will seek out the truth. An educated mind wouldn’t be content with news articles that they know are false. Look at Fox. You can’t be the sharpest tool in the shed, if you willingly obtain your news from a source that leans one political direction. I have written several articles about how Fox peddles the lies, and then accuses liberals of the ones who produce it.
